Our read
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
The coaching change was supposed to be the case for Elic Ayomanor, and it has not been yet. Robert Saleh and Brian Daboll are both new in 2026, and through week 5 of 2026 the results look like more of the same: 5.0 points a game, under the 6.1 pace our preseason projection of 86 points set across the 14 games we expected from him. Week 3 of 2026 gave 2.1 points, week 5 gave 2.7, and 12 targets in five games is not the volume that made 2025 watchable.
That 2025 season is why we keep him on the board at all. He played 16 games, finished WR52 among 240 qualifying receivers at 7.3 points a game, and topped the position's weekly median in 11 of them. The usage backed it up: an 80.3% snap share ranked WR31, and his 18.1% target share ranked WR50. Among players in his spot historically, a target share like that came with a rise of 3.3 points a game the following season, net of two factors, and the snap share carried a 2.9-point rise. That is the case for a second-year jump. It just has not started.
What holds him back is role: he is listed fifth among TEN receivers, behind Carnell Tate, Wan'Dale Robinson, Calvin Ridley and Chimere Dike, and the weeks 1 to 4 of 2025 stretch already showed target share sliding from 23% to 17%. His 9.0% red-zone share of his own touches ranked WR139, so the scoring was never coming in bunches. Two players remain in his tier before a 7.7-point drop.
Hold him in deeper formats through the week 9 of 2026 bye. If the targets do not show by then, the 2025 profile is the ceiling and you can move on.
