Our read

Antonio Williams is third on the Commanders depth chart behind Terry McLaurin and Stefon Diggs, and that pecking order is the whole problem this week. He's cleared to play with no designation on Sunday's report, but the published projection has him at 5.2 points in PPR scoring. His own rate backs that up: 7.3 PPR points a game through five games with 1 touchdown. San Francisco sits 13th of 32 against receivers, allowing 29.4 PPR points a game, so the matchup gives him little room. Keep him benched this week.
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
A rookie with no ADP on our page, and the usage explains why he went under the radar before the season. He has taken 16% of the team's air yards in his games this season, so he is getting thrown to, but only 6% of the carries and targets inside the ten in his games, one look all year. That is a chain-mover's job, and it shows in the counting stats: 15 catches on 22 targets, just 155 yards and one touchdown through week 5 of 2026. Third on the depth chart behind Terry McLaurin and Stefon Diggs, with Deebo Samuel Sr. and McLaurin having combined for 48% of the targets in this offense in 2025, there is not much room left over.
The 16.4 points in week 1 of 2026 are carrying his 7.3 average. Since then it has been 5.4, 3.5, 5.1 and 6.1, weeks that sit almost exactly on our preseason pace of 5.9 points a game. David Blough calling plays is new this year, and he is the one thing that could reshuffle the pecking order, but five weeks in we have not seen it happen yet. He has stayed healthy the whole way, so there is no availability excuse hiding in these numbers.
We had him at 77 points over 13 expected games, and he is tracking below that. He is worth holding if you have the roster space, but only because a new play caller is the kind of thing that can move targets inside the 20. Watch weeks 6 and 7 of 2026, then his bye in week 7. If those looks are still a trickle by week 10 of 2026, he goes for a receiver with a clearer path.
