Our read
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
The spike is real but so is the pattern around it. Week 3 of 2026 gave him 12.3 points, and weeks 1 and 2 gave him exactly zero. Six catches on nine targets and 115 yards through four games is fine work for a sixth receiver, but he has not reached the end zone and the two catches a game he gets outside that one week will not carry a lineup spot.
The room decides this. McMillan and Legette absorbed 41% of Carolina's targets in 2025, and players in Tremayne's spot lose 0.9 points a game from one season to the next on average. Last year he ran routes on 26.2% of the snaps with a 3.9% target share, WR164 among qualifying receivers, and one red-zone touch all season. That shape costs him. His yards per target climbing from -2 in 2024 to 8.9 in 2025 says he can play when thrown to. It does not say he will be thrown to.
Our preseason number was 36 points at 3.0 a game over 12 expected games, and 4.4 a game through four weeks is actually ahead of that pace, with the bye in week 5 of 2026 already behind him. But the bar for keeping a sixth receiver with zero touchdowns is higher than pace. In leagues deep enough that you need a name here, hold through week 6 of 2026 and see if week 3 repeats. In a standard league, the spot is worth more used on a receiver with a real role.
