Our read

Written Mon 12:02 am Central, for week 6

The Vikings are on bye in week 6 of 2026, so Jennings does not play and scores nothing this week. His next game is week 7, at home against the Colts, kicking off 12:00 pm Central. Even then he's third among Minnesota receivers behind Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, with 0.7 PPR points a game and no touchdowns through four games this season. With no projection in play on a bye, keep him benched and plug someone else into the WR spot for the week.

Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season

Two catches, nine yards, zero touchdowns through four games, and the one week he missed, week 2 of 2026, is the healthiest thing you can say. Our preseason number was 122 points, built on a 19.4% target share turning into a real role in this offense. Instead he sits third among MIN receivers behind Jefferson and Addison, and his bye in week 6 of 2026 arrives before you can even bench him usefully.

The signs were already pointing down before the season. His target share fell from 24.7% in 2024 to 19.4% in 2025, and his scoring dipped from 14.0 points a game to 11.4. Now he is on a new team where two younger receivers split half the targets, and crowded target rooms have on average cost the players in them 0.9 points a season the next year, a group figure, not his own line. The touchdown-heavy part of his profile is a drag too: a 31.5% share of his team's scoring has cost players in his spot 2 points a game on average the following year.

Even in the good 2025 year his average depth of target was just 10.1 yards, WR132 among 223 qualifying receivers, so the red-zone work, 19 touches there and 8 inside the ten, WR6 and WR9 among 224 qualifying receivers, was carrying the production. And his 2023 season ended after week 15 of 2023, with the injury report listing him out, concussion, from week 16 of 2023 on.

He did clear 15 points in five of his 15 played weeks in 2025, so the WR33 season was real, but that was SF, and he is 29 now. Where drafters took him before the season, 143.3, looks generous from here. Cut bait this week and use the spot on someone actually playing.
