Our read
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
One game, two targets, zero catches. That is Skyler Bell's entire season through week 5 of 2026, and it comes after he sat out weeks 1 through 4 entirely. There is no injury designation anymore, so the healthy scratch is the story: a fourth-round pick who could not get on the field for a month behind four veterans.
The depth chart explains why. DJ Moore, Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman and Josh Palmer all sit ahead of him, and Shakir and Coleman together took 37% of BUF's targets in 2025. That is a crowded table for a rookie to fight into, and Pete Carmichael Jr. is calling plays for a team that threw on just 51% of situation-neutral plays last year. We put 42 points on him for the season at 4.2 a game, and that number assumed 10 games. Even the good end of our range, 60 points, needs targets that do not exist today. He had no ADP before the season either, which only means we never tracked where drafters took him.
Our own board had him 399th overall and WR134, with eight players left in his tier before a 2.5-point cliff. The late schedule is no help, with CHI at home in week 15 of 2026 then DEN and MIA on the road in weeks 16 and 17 of 2026. He is 24, fresh out of college, and worth a roster spot in deeper formats only.
If you are carrying him in a 12-teamer, release him and keep watching. The thing that would change our read is snap share climbing in week 6 of 2026 or a receiver ahead of him missing time. Until either happens, the scoreboard says everything.
