Our read
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
Two years into this, the zero is still the headline. Fourteen games played in 2025, 0 points across all of them, 0 targets catching his name in the target share column. That is not a slow start, that is a whole season of standing still. This year started warmer, 3.5 points in week 1 of 2026 and 2.4 the next, then weeks 3 through 5 of 2026 all came back 0. Four targets, 29 yards, no touchdowns through five weeks. He is running at our preseason pace, 1.2 points a game, and we saw him as a 16-point season for the whole year before it started, which never made him worth a roster spot in the first place.
The path is the problem. Baltimore lists him sixth among its receivers, with Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, Ja'Kobi Lane and Devontez Walker ahead of him, and Flowers alone took 29% of the targets in 2025. A new head coach and a new play caller have not touched his role, because there has been no role to touch. He is healthy and he plays, we will grant him that, but the snap share sat at 5.7% last season and nothing in the setup points up.
He is droppable, and we would drop him. There are only two players left in his tier before the 1.0-point drop, and none of them is worth protecting through his week 13 of 2026 bye. If he somehow lands a bigger role later, you can read about it then. For now the wire wins.
