Our read
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
Two zeros in five games and 8 targets all season. That is what Tennessee is giving a 31.7 year old receiver who finished WR18 and WR28 in back to back years, and there is no sign of it turning. He has not missed a week in 2026, so this is not an availability problem. The team simply stopped feeding him. His target share fell from 23.7% in 2024 to 16.4% in 2025, and 2026 has opened with him behind Carnell Tate and Wan'Dale Robinson on the depth chart while a new staff, Robert Saleh as head coach and Brian Daboll calling plays, installs its own pecking order.
The last two years tell the story. He played 17 games in both 2023 and 2024 and produced like a WR18 and a WR28. Then 2025 collapsed: seven games, 47.3 points, his year ended after week 11 of 2025, and he averaged 6.8 a game. He cleared 15 points once in those seven weeks, and the scoring chances were gone with everything else, 2 red-zone touches and 1 touch inside the ten all season. Receivers in his spot do tend to bounce back, about 1.2 points a game better the next season on average, but that bump would take him from bad to still not startable at what he is showing now.
We projected 105 points and ranked him WR70, and even that looks generous next to 2.6 a game. Five catches and 81 yards through five weeks, with zero touchdowns, tells you he is not producing anything you can use. Release him and put the roster spot on someone with a real target line.
