The Vikings are idle in week 6 of 2026, so Jones sits on a bye and produces no points for anyone holding him. When Minnesota returns, it's week 7 at home against Indianapolis, and he'll still be buried at sixth among the receivers behind Jefferson, Addison, Jennings and Felton, with 2.1 PPR points a game through two appearances this season. In our rest-of-season order he carries 499 overall, WR203. Get a fill-in for the bye week and keep Jones on your bench.
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
Jones finally saw the field in week 4 of 2026, and the two games since give you one catch, 32 yards and 2.1 points a game. That is the whole file. He did not play in weeks 1, 2 and 3 of 2026. Last season he played one week, week 18 of 2025, and scored zero in it. In 2024 he played zero games while healthy. There is no season on record where he produced anything.
The path to snaps is the problem, and it has not changed. He is listed sixth among Minnesota receivers, behind Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, Jauan Jennings and Tai Felton, and Jefferson and Addison took half the targets in Minnesota's 2025 passing game between them. Kevin O'Connell is back and still calls the plays, so the pecking order he built last year stays in place. Jones clearing the position's weekly median has happened in zero of the games he has played across two seasons.
Our preseason number had him at 33 points for 2026, on a pace of 3.7 a game over the 9 games we expected, and his 2.1 a game so far runs well under that. The mid-range of outcomes runs 16 to 51 points, with injuries dragging the low end down, but even the middle of that band needs targets he has no history of earning. The injury report has carried no designation since before the 2026 season started, so his body is not what holds him back. The role is. He has a bye in week 6 of 2026 anyway. Drop him for a receiver whose team needs him to play.
