Our read
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
Week 1 of 2026 went by without him again, and that is the whole problem. The coaches sat him for 8 healthy weeks in 2025 and for 14 more in 2024, so sitting him has never taken an injury. This year he has played four straight weeks since, 4.4 points a game, one touchdown, seven targets. The 8.9 in week 5 of 2026 is the best he has shown in a Ravens uniform, and it is barely a blip.
The role has not changed. He is fourth among BAL receivers, behind Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman and Ja'Kobi Lane, and last season Flowers and Mark Andrews took 46% of the targets between them. Walker's own target share in 2025 was 3.0%, WR178 among 239 qualifying receivers, on a 24.4% snap share. He catches the ball a long way downfield, a 24.5-yard average depth of target, WR5 among 223, which is why one catch moves a week and a quiet week scores nothing. That deep-ball dependence plus a 47.9% touchdown-points share is a profile that has cost players in his spot 2 points a game the following season, and the crowded target room has cost another 0.9.
He is running at 4.4 points a game, just ahead of the 3.2 a game we set for him before the season. The full-season picture has not moved off 38 points, with most outcomes for him landing between 21 and 55. He was never worth a roster spot in a standard league and that has not changed. In a very deep league you could hold him as a lotto ticket on a long score, but that is the only reason to keep him.
