Our read
Written Sun 12:01 am Central, for week 6
Felton does not play this week, because Minnesota sits on bye in week 6 of 2026 and scores no points. His next game is week 7 at home against Indianapolis. Thursday's depth chart had him fourth among the Vikings receivers behind Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison and Jauan Jennings, and he's carried 1.8 PPR points a game with 0 touchdowns through week 5. In our rest-of-season order he sits at 454th overall, so no roster spot needs saving for him. Keep him out of lineups and find a fill-in for the week.
Written Oct 19, from his facts through last season
Minnesota listed him fourth at receiver, and week 4 of 2026 told you why it matters. He got on the field in all three of his games since missing week 2 of 2026, but six targets in four games with Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison eating half the target room in 2025 is a role with no ceiling worth chasing. He is just 23.5 and in his second season, but the depth chart still puts Jauan Jennings third and Myles Price fifth around him.
The 2025 numbers were bleak in every column: 6 points all season, a 4.6% snap share, zero red-zone touches, an average depth of target of 3.7 yards that ranked near the bottom of qualifying receivers. He never scored above the position's weekly median in 12 games. Three touches and 25 receiving yards across all of 2025 tell you how thin it got even in the weeks he dressed. This season he is up to 4.7 points in week 5 of 2026, his best week yet, but that is a rounding error for a roster spot. Receivers in his spot historically lose about 0.9 points a game the following season, and nothing in this situation points the other way.
Kevin O'Connell calls the plays himself and is back for 2026, so no new voice is coming to reorder the targets. We had him for 14 points all season, about 1.1 a game, and even that low bar assumed a path to snaps he has not found. He has no injury designation and a bye in week 6 of 2026, so dropping him costs nothing this week. We would let him go and only reconsider if Jefferson or Addison misses time.
