Our read
Written Oct 19, from his facts through last season
Nobody should be surprised the targets are not coming. Lamb and Pickens took 46% of DAL's targets between them last season, and Turpin finished at 7%, which ranked WR126 among qualifying receivers. Fourth on the depth chart behind those two and Ryan Flournoy is where the usage lives or dies, and it is dying. Seven targets, four catches and 39 yards through five games of 2026, and the 8.8-point day in week 3 of 2026 is the only one that helped.
The case was never volume, it was big plays. His yards per target jumped from 9.8 in 2024 to 12.8 in 2025, and that week 3 of 2026 spike is what a good week looks like for him. But that is one week out of five, and the profile has a real drag: receivers in his spot lost 0.9 points a game from one season to the next on average. At age 30 with a fourth-place listing, there is no reason to expect that trend to bend back.
He has not missed a game this season, which matters, but he carries an O designation heading into week 6 of 2026, so check that before anything else. Our preseason number was 51 points. At 3.0 points a game through five weeks of 2026, he is nowhere near the pace that needs. If you rostered him, hold him only until you find a receiver on a waiver wire with a clearer path to targets. We would drop him without ceremony once anyone usable surfaces.
