Our read
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
The Dallas depth chart is the case against him, and it is a strong one. Lamb and Pickens combined for 46% of the 2025 targets in this offense, so what is left over barely covers a role, let alone a fantasy one. Mingo's own target share went from 7.6% in 2024 to 2.4% in 2025, and the coaching staff carried over unchanged. He is listed fifth among Dallas receivers, behind Ryan Flournoy and KaVontae Turpin, which tells you where the staff starts him.
The numbers back the depth chart up. He played five games in 2025 and scored 4 points all season, with 3.5 of those in week 15 of 2025, his only week above single digits. His best usage number in that year was a 19.4-yard average depth of target, tenth among qualifying receivers, deep shots he never got enough of. Then he came into 2026 and has 1.2 points a game through week 5 of 2026, on 7 targets, 3 catches and 30 yards, with two zero-point weeks in there. Players in his spot, coming off a year like his 0.7 a game, added about a point and a half a game on average the next season, so a small rebound exists on paper. The crowded room works the other way, an average cost of 0.9 among similar players, and that is the stronger pull here.
We put 36 points on him before the season, mostly because we expected 13 games somewhere in this offense. He has played every week so far, which is fine, but the usage has not moved. Hold only if a Lamb or Pickens absence changes the room. Otherwise he is a free agent in your league and should stay one.
