Our read
Written Mon 12:02 am Central, for week 6
Robinson sits on injured reserve on Monday's report, so he misses the Monday 7:15 pm Central home game against Washington entirely and scores you nothing in week 6 of 2026. He's been off the field since week 2, with Mike Evans, Deebo Samuel Sr. and De'Zhaun Stribling ahead of him anyway. There's no spot for him in your lineup this week, so pull a fill-in off your bench at WR. He's worth keeping stashed given the 49ers' matchup potential, but only once he's back.
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
Three straight missed weeks, weeks 3, 4 and 5 of 2026, and an IR designation that means he plays nothing until it lifts. That is the whole decision right now. The board ranks him below every available receiver at the position, so holding him is holding a slot that scores zero while healthier options sit in free agency. His bye in week 8 of 2026 is still to come, so there is no built-in week off that saves you the roster gymnastics either.
Before the injury there was a small flash: 13 points in week 1 of 2026, 9.7 a game across his two weeks. But this is a 32-year-old fourth receiver in Kyle Shanahan's room, listed behind Mike Evans, Deebo Samuel Sr. and De'Zhaun Stribling. Last year Christian McCaffrey and George Kittle took 45% of the targets between them, and Robinson's own share was 8.0%. He played on 46.2% of SF's snaps, WR110 among 239 qualifying receivers, so even his role was thin. Receivers in his spot dropped 0.9 points a game on average from one season to the next, and his own fall ran from 7.26 in 2024 to 4.01 in 2025. He cleared 15 points in 0 of his 14 played weeks in 2025, and his best was 10.3 in week 16 of 2025. Our 64-point projection leaned on 14 games we expected, and the season is already eating into that.
If a free agent receiver has a real role this week, Robinson is the drop. If your league has an IR spot and a deep bench, you can stash him, but we would need an activation and a target share closer to 12% before he belongs in a lineup.
