Our read
Written Sep 8, from his facts through last season
The record here is as blunt as it gets. He has been on an NFL roster for three seasons, 17 games each, and he has played in exactly zero of them. The sheet is clear that none of those were missed to injury or a reserve list, they were healthy weeks he did not dress. A fourth-year undrafted receiver who has never been trusted on game day is not a breakout candidate, he is a camp body who keeps a job.
The move from Dallas to New Orleans does not change that. New Orleans runs 55% situation-neutral passes, so there are touches somewhere on this roster, but our number has him at 3 points with a middle range of -1 to 7 and an expected 2 games, range 0 to 6 once injury risk is accounted for. Even the top of the tail, 15 points, is the outcome where he gets on the field and stays there, and that tail comes from seasons cut short by injury. WR232 on our board, 617 overall. The books posted a 7.5 win total for the Saints, so the team itself is not projected to be a fantasy engine, and Kellen Moore and Doug Nussmeier are both back, meaning no new staff is suddenly going to discover him.
There is no ADP on file for him, and for once that is not a sleeper flag, it is drafters everywhere passing on him for a third straight year. He is a free-agent add the week someone in your league loses two receivers, not someone you spend a pick on. In a very deep league you could use the last slot on him and cut him by week 8 without a second thought.
