Our read
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
He has been on IR since before week 3 of 2026, and weeks 1 through 5 of 2026 all ended with no snap from him. Before the season we gave him 3 games and 15 points all season, and that already assumed his body would be an issue. Last year he sat five healthy weeks he could have played, so the missing games were never all about injury. He cleared 15 points in zero of his 11 games in 2025, averaging 2.1 a game, and his best week all season was 6.5 points in week 1 of 2025, so even the optimistic version of him was a one-swing-a-game player waiting on a deep shot.
The role was always the interesting part: 16.6 yards a target put him near the top of the league in depth, and a 17.0% air-yards share is the kind of profile that historically gains 1.3 points a game in year two. But two other numbers cut against it. The Las Vegas target room is crowded, with Bowers and Tucker eating 42% of it in 2025, and players in his spot lost 0.9 a game on average. The team projection, 5.5 expected wins, has cost similar players another 0.8. New play caller Andrew Janocko and new coach Klint Kubiak reset the whole offense, and he is listed sixth among LV receivers, behind Tre Tucker, Jalen Nailor, Jack Bech, and Malik Benson. The red-zone side offers nothing to fall back on either, two red-zone touches all of 2025 and zero inside the ten.
So this is not a hold. If an available receiver exists, use the spot there. Check back only if he is activated and Kubiak is actually dialing up deep shots for him in weeks that count.
