Our read
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
He has spent weeks 4 and 5 of 2026 on IR, and that is the decision before anything else. While he sits on that list our board ranks him below every available receiver, and he cannot score a point for you. The three weeks he did play did not build a case for waiting him out either. Week 1 of 2026 gave him 11.3 points, week 3 gave him a zero, and across all three he drew six targets. A second-round pick a year ago, now 23.7 and on a team that ranked him third behind Tre Tucker and Jalen Nailor.

Preseason projection67projected PPR points
The wider picture never supported him. Last season he finished WR118 among 240 qualifying receivers on 3.0 points a game, with a 6.2% target share on an offense where Bowers and Tucker combined for 42%. His own snap share was just 36.7%, WR136 among 239 qualifying receivers, and his average depth of target was 8.3 yards, WR167 among 223. He beat the position's weekly median in only 3 of his 14 games. He never cleared 15 points in a single week, and receivers stuck in that kind of crowded room have dropped 0.9 points a game the next season on average. The 5.5 expected team wins carry their own drag, another 0.8 on average for players in his spot. Our preseason number was 67 points at a 5.2 point-a-game pace, and he has already burned two of the 13 games we expected.
Even healthy the path ran through a new Kubiak staff finding snaps for a third receiver. We would cut him and fill the week 6 of 2026 slot with someone who can play.
